The IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Scottish Chapter

The Solid-State Circuits Society is interested in all aspects of solid-state circuits: the design, testing and application of circuits and subsystems, as well as closely related topics in device technology and circuit theory. The society also focuses on scientific, technical and industrial applications, in addition to other activities that contribute to the field, or utilize the techniques or products of the field, as the art develops.

Scotland is a hotbed of semiconductor and microelectronics design companies, with many of the top semiconductor companies present in the area, as well as a couple of smaller and private held businesses. Complimenting companies, Scotland is home to a couple of top University and research centers, working in the field of electronic design.

This society chapter looks to represent the design engineers and researchers active in this geographic area, by holding technical and training events for its members, and helping to develop an positively active design community in the area.
